Question Geil memory - UK distributor?

    Hi,

I have some Geil memory that I bought from another on-line retailer that has developed a fault. Following the warranty procedure from Geil's website they say to contact the distributor first which, according to Geil's web site, is Micro Direct hence this post to check this is indeed true since it seems a little odd?

    Thanks,
    MrC

Ah yes, I've come across this before on Geil's website. They seem to have got the words "distributor" and "retailer" confused - the retailer is where you bought it from, the distributor is the company who sold it to them (and everyone else who sells it in the UK).

In this case, it needs to be returned to the retailer - head back to the online store you originally purchased it from and they should honour Geil's lifetime warranty.

    Hope that helps!

That's what I thought :-S The original retailer is actually listed as such and I've contacted but them they've said that since the memory is over a year old that I need to get in touch with Geil so I just wanted to follow Geil's instructions to make sure.

    Thanks,
