Default Coolermaster cases....some of the best !

    Hi guys
theres been some amazing cases released in the last decade ... and these include the antec 300 and corsair obsidian... however coolermaster make some of the best cases around and even the budget elite range are used by many guys in budget pc builds due to their excellent features and solid build quality
however theres no doubt that coolermaster put alot of effort when building their cases and you only need to look at the cosmos to see this.... the cosmos is one of the most popular cases among the water cooling community due to its support for triple radiators and fans... and theres so much space inside these case that even after a water cooled build you can still accomodate quad crossfire or quad sli set ups and still have space left for the parrot !
but not all of us have the £150 that the cosmos retails at.. and the cosmos 2 is even more expensive at just under £300... however one of the best budget cases around is also made by coolermaster in the shape of the "Coolermaster Case HAF912 Plus"( http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/Pr...-Plus---NO-PSU )

costing just over £60 the HAF912 is a triumph of build quality.... its made using steel but not that nasty flimsy steel used in budget cases... it feel robust and can take some bashing when moving to lan partys ...... however what i like about the HAF912 is its interior... with loads of cable management holes and a bottom mounted psu this is a pc builders dream and it also has a cpu cut out so you dont need to remove your motherboard when replacing your cpu fan ...
however if £60 is still too expensive then theres some excellent cases around the £30 mark and my favourite has to be the "Coolermaster Case Elite 430 black + window "( http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/Pr...--window----NO ) ... this has a all black interior like the HAF912 and also has some basic cable routing holes but not as extensive as the HAF912... but even with these negative points the "elite 430" is still a exceptional case for the masses

it still has several fan mounts and comes with a front 120mm fan and space for a 120mm rear and a 120mm side... and this is in theory enough for anyone building a single gpu pc...... however if you require more cooling but no more expense then you may want to consider the "CoolerMaster Case RC-502 Centurion 5 II Midi-Tower"( http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/Pr...Centurion-5-II ) ... this is a awesome case and falls inbetween the HAF912 and elite 430 in terms of price... however it has some excellent cooling solutions and is ok for even crossfire/sli configurations
with support for up to 5 x fans which include the massive 140mm blue l.e.d front fan the centurion 5 is a class offering from coolermaster and is extremely well built in all areas, and this includes the aluminium case which is strong and well made...
it supports both atx and micro atx motherboards and the 2 x 120mm side fan mounts will cool the cpu and gpu,s effectively....and theres even a on/off switch for the front fan so you can turn it off when not running intensive games or applications
much like all the other coolermaster cases i have mentioned the centurion 5 also has a bottom mounted psu and a cpu retaining hole for effortless cpu fan installation/upgrade and theres even a ssd adapter included with this case.. ideal considering ssd,s are becoming more and more popular

other coolermaster cases include the mega cheap "elite 452" which costs around £25 and then theres the "storm enforcer" which retails for around £80... however the enforcer is a really chunky case and is ideal for anyone who moves his or her pc alot..... that said im not a big fan of the rounded front fascia on the enforcer ... but everyone to their own
finally i shall finish with the latest edition to the coolermaster range namely the "cosmos 2" which as i mentioned retails for just under £300... however this case is amazing ... pure and simple... and anyone who has a mega budget and is looking for one of the best cases around should look no further..... to describe all its features would take a few hours so instead check out this video of the coolermaste cosmos 2

    i hope this has helped...
    peace guys !

Coolermaster certainly do some great cases i wholeheartedly agree with ya. Great thermal dynamics from recent models, like HAF X series and so forth. Designs are vast to suit most tastes, gotta agree that they have a very good share of the market. However I still love Lian Li cases, just something about their sexy aluminium and bland looks that suits me ;0

I do love Lian-Li cases, but they're just so damn expensive.

I think if I'm building another system any time soon, it'll be with a Cosmos II (yeah right, like I can afford it >:[ ) it's just such a great piece of engineering.

Either that or the Silverstone Fortress:

Look at that thing. It's a work of art!

i've had a few real nice cases pass through my hands, but i always end up rebuilding my main rig back into my Lian Li V2000
there's just something so effortlessly classy about it... hard to describe what, but seriously you'd have to prise it from my cold dead hand

Lian Li cases are very expensive but their quality from an end user/semi enthusiast pojt of view is unrivelled. My P80 has gone through several changes since bought and I can see it lasting through many upcoming builds too. Their minimalist approach to design is endless (well mine you can argue) in general. However if someone was to sponsor or dramatically lower the price of the V2120X I'd jump straight to it, other than that this P80 that I have is a stayer

That IS awesome! Though I am confused as to why you'd want a Mini-ITX alongside a full-ATX system...

Reminds me of this monstrosity from Thermaltake from a few years back:

(I think they've stopped selling it now)

Whoa whoa whoa! I never said I didn't want one!

At the moment, I think I'd go for a Cosmos 2 if I had the cash though - got a proper play with one at the Gadget Show on Tuesday and it is Schmexxxyy!
